A PRIVATE BECOMING EXPERIENCE

Like a junk drawer or messy purse, we all have areas of our lives that need to be sorted. Whether it’s in a family relationship, friendship, parenting, marriage, health, work, or creative endeavor, the messiness can make it difficult to hope, see the good, remove the bad, and make use of the treasures we already have. This two-day retreat is beautifully designed to guide you step-by-step through a soul-sorting process using sound principles of faith, tangible materials, short teachings, practical exercises, and musical worship. Doing this faith work helps us become more hopeful, joyful, and free to receive new treasures and greater measures of God’s grace.
What to Expect
Participants of this two-day retreat will be guided in applying eight of the twelve becoming tools in practical ways, using reflective exercises and tangible materials to sort out their unsorted areas in light of God’s love and truth. Even though this faith work is personal, our time will be spent in the company of encouraging women who are also dedicated to sorting their soul’s cluttered spaces.
By engaging in this work, with the Holy Spirit as your inner guide, you will discern what needs to be removed or kept, asked or entrusted, declared or denounced, spent or shared, discarded or treasured, so that your stuck places can begin to cycle in grace. The retreat will include musical worship, food, live mini-teachings, reflective journaling exercises, open discussion, and the giving and receiving of blessings. Every part of this experience has been designed so that even those who have never been exposed to the BECOMING tools before can participate and benefit.

Kerry will be your facilitator in this sorting process and share new mini-teachings to help you understand and engage in each of the reflective and kinesthetic exercises in the context of your own story.

The Bible says that “God dwells in the praises of His people” and that “we enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.” This is why singing worship and declaring praises is an integral part of every BECOMING experience and why we invite anointed worship leaders to usher us into the Lord’s presence before we engage in this practical and rewarding work. Friday night worship will be led by longtime BECOMER Melodee DeVevo of Casting Crowns (with accompaniment by her husband Juan)
What is Provided

Under the registration price, all materials for soul-sorting will be provided. You will receive a journal and a key to the sorting process, a supplemental guide to your BECOMING journey, and a vintage mini-purse with tangible materials that represent what is being sorted - your hopes, hurts, questions, burdens, gifts, talents, understandings, relationships, blessings, visions, experiences, and promised glory. You may want to bring your own Bible.

Healthy food will be served on Friday during the welcome reception and for dinner (with gluten-free and dairy-free options provided), and for breakfast and Lunch on Saturday. Drinks, including coffee, tea, and citrus-infused water, as well as sweet and savory snacks, will be provided on-site both days.

They are short intro videos selected to familiarize newcomers and refresh experienced becomers with each of the first 8 of 12 BECOMING tools to optimize your in-person, soul-sorting experience.
